The best
way to determine which HDTV broadcast channels may be available
in your area is to visit the website AntennaWeb.org.
Their site will show you the compass directions and approximate
tower distances from your television location by zip code.
Then they provide an HD antenna recommendation for your
specific situation.

In this time of transition from
the older analog NTSC television broadcasting standard to
digital ATSC, some of the so-called "HD programs" that
you see today are actually up-converted to HDTV resolution (you
may see a really soft picture) or may be shown in the 4:3 format
with bars at the left and right of your picture instead of the
widescreen 16:9 format. At times, you may also not get 5.1
digital audio on some of these programs.

Below are some of
the HDTV broadcast channels that could be available in
your local area. Of course, you'll need to have a
HDTV television with a built-in ATSC
tuner, or an HDTV-ready TV with a separate over
the air HDTV receiver, plus your HDTV antenna
in order to be able to view free local off air HDTV broadcast
channels.
BE AWARE THAT
you may not be able to pick up all the HD channels listed below,
depending on tower locations and the antenna you choose!
